A key to the imagery

Something from Nothing
No source. No shape. Just force.
Something breaks the surface.
Not because it should...
Just because it does.
And so, it begins.

At the Threshold
The first step is not forward.
It’s out.
This is not arrival.
It’s a crossing.

The End Becomes the Key (Omega to Ankh)
What ends opens.
Omega: the final letter, the last breath.
Ankh: the key to life, the opening of the door.
The end becomes the beginning.

The Fire of the Heart
One heart forms from two.
The spark is passed on.
From the fire of love, a new soul is born.

The Secret Held in Bloom
The miracle is hidden inside the mechanism.
We know the flower opens.
We do not know why.
We can name the parts and process,
but do we know the meaning?

The New Light
Life is a fragile miracle.
Arrival with purpose.
The flame knows why it’s here.

I Am Here
A body forms in darkness.
But love arrives first.
Shaped not by hands, but by presence.
I am here. I always was.

Field Notes
Birth was the only place to begin this new project.
Just to rewind a bit, I’ve spent the last ~15 years creating art, music, video, and poetry under different names—SexDeathRebirth, The Whip Angels, Temple ov Saturn, Joan Pope. Archetype Vision is the next chapter. It’s something new, but also a continuation. Motherhood and aging have changed me. I’m not who I was when I began, but my work is still anchored in the same core themes. Much of the imagery in this episode originated under Temple ov Saturn, but I’ve reworked it into a narrative that offers clearer context and symbolic structure.
One of my frustrations as an artist has been the feeling of being misunderstood. I take responsibility for that... I rarely spoke directly about my work. What could I expect? I preferred to let it stand alone, to let viewers make their own meaning. This time around, I’m offering more context. Not to limit interpretation, but to invite a deeper kind of engagement.
I hope you've enjoyed this episode and the contents of the portal. Stay tuned for the next episode!
