Birth isn’t a clean break. I started here for a reason. Archetype Vision is not a blank slate. It inherits from my past work (SexDeathRebirth, Temple ov Saturn) and transmutes those ideas into something fit for the present and future.
I’ve explored this topic in my work before, but it hits different now that I’ve experienced creating new life and the process of actually giving birth. It’s hard for it to not be on the forefront of my mind, when my daily life revolves around nurturing a growing human. When I began working on Archetype Vision, it wasn’t just a rebrand. I’ve changed so much…personally, creatively, and philosophically. It needed to be a new chapter. The passion for Temple ov Saturn was no longer there. The circumstances that lead to Temple ov Saturn no longer fueled the creative fire. I had to move on. This is the next season of my life.
The premiere episode is not about fertility or natalism per se. It’s about awe. It’s about what it means to begin. The first breath. The absolute fucking miracle that is LIFE itself. Birth has become sterile in the cultural imagination, reduced to biology, data, or sentiment. Birth pushes back against that.
The episode and the portal entry are now live. Thanks for being here.
